Mullumbimby Leagues Club hosted the inaugural Mullumbimby Giants Masters Rugby League Competition on Fri October 18th and Sat 19th, 2024 at the Mullumbimby Leagues Club grounds. Teams from Queensland and New South Wales clubs participated in the 2 day event with the highlight being the State of Origin game between NSW & Qld held on the Friday night. NSW was victorious, 24 to 8. Mullumbimby players Glenn Abbott, Aaron Dieham, Troy McArthur, Cody Nelson, Mick Waters, Troy Creighton and Wade Kelly played for their respective States.
Plans are under way to make this an annual event in the Brunswick Valley continuing the rich history of the club.
The organising committee is headed up by Glen Godbee and Scott Hogan.
