Trade Connect NR could be a great way to help students prepare for the real world. A digital profile in the database would allow students to:

• Showcase Their Skills & Training – They can highlight their coursework, apprenticeships, certifications and any hands-on experience they’ve gained at school.

• Connect with Employers & Tradespeople – They’ll have direct exposure to local subcontractors, suppliers and potential employers, making networking easier.

• Find Apprenticeship & Job Opportunities – Tradespeople and businesses searching for apprentices or entry-level workers could reach out to them directly.

Many students interested in trades don’t have LinkedIn or a structured way to present themselves online. Trade Connect NR could fill that gap by offering them a trade-specific platform that connects them with real-world opportunities. Career advisors could use this platform as a useful tool to give students a head start in their careers by introducing them to a platform designed for their industry.

Jacinta commenced her trainee/apprenticeship through TAFE NSW Kingscliff Campus while attending High School at Mullumbimby. Along her career pathway Jacinta achieved the 2004 North Coast & Far North Coast Apprentice of the Year in Hairdressing award. She has been in business for over 20 years.
